Ettinger

March 30 and 31

Danita

Danita is pure heart and soul. She kicks out a tune at full speed, heating up a room and the crowd within minutes of stepping on stage. Her powerful voice combined with her quick wit makes her an amazing all around entertainer who leaves a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to experience her live show.

Danita is a gifted singer, songwriter who was raised in Plamondon in Northern Alberta, a small community founded by her great-grandfather. She is the youngest of six children and inherited a deep love for music from her family. She credits their encouragement to be the catalyst in pursuing her career in music.

In 2000 Sakastew Productions hired Danita as harmony vocalist for country singer Priscilla Morin. She remained with the company for three years while establishing her own independent career. Danita has performed at many prestigious events such as the Festival of the World Games. She has shared main stage with artists such as Prairie Oyster, Julian Austin, The Johner Brothers, Tony Michael, Duane Steele, Emerson Drive, Aaron Pritchett and Lisa Hewitt. A highlight early in Danita's career was opening for and singing with country legend and Grand Ole Opry entertainer, George Hamilton IV.

In 2003 Danita co-wrote and produced her debut album Wild Ride with Edmonton producer Gerry Dere (Mastery Factory Studio).  Danita then toured extensively for over 4  years in western Canada as the front woman of country rock band Sweet Tequila.  In 2007 they recorded an album in Nashville with producer Scott Baggett (Road Hammers) which includes two co-writes with Randy Martin and a re-make of I Did It For Love by the Canadian rock band Harlequin.

After a brief break from touring, Danita is back in full force, stronger than she's ever been. This feisty and passionate entertainer has touched many people on a soul level through her music and presence.  She is a force to be reckoned with!
