Karen-Lee Batten, a proud British Columbian has become a beloved National singer by pouring herself into songs ever since receiving her first taste of the stage in various churches in her home town of Abbotsford. It was at the age of four that she became fascinated by the magic of music. Karen-Lee's style is as diverse as her influences.

Karen-Lee competed on the first season of the hit show Canadian Idol. Although she was one of the top 3 vote getters in her semi-final group, which got her into the top 10, she was eliminated on the first night of the finals.

Karen-Lee released her debut album, Every Moment, in December 2005. The album's cover of Deryl Dodd's song "A Bitter End" has received a significant amount of radio airplay on Canadian country music radio stations. In February 2006, she was an opening act for Emerson Drive. Karen-Lee's first music video, "Hearts on the Run," began airing on CMT Canada in April 2008.
