From her early beginnings as a local BC talent to the most recent release of her music video for the single "Hearts on the Run," an independent project, which received rave reviews by CMT. Karen Lee defines herself as anything but an overnight success. A combination of drive and dedication has given Karen Lee the reputation one of the hardest working independent artists with just enough nonsense to make performing and studio work fun.
Karen Lee is so thankful for her first breakthrough making it to the top ten on Canadian Idol which propelled her young career. Working alongside Tom McKillip, Karen released her début album "Every Moment" launching four singles across Canada.
Karen Lee played the CCMA 2008 New Artist Showcase with outstanding feedback and success. In 2009 Karen Lee performed throughout most of Western Canada. She has opened for some great bands including Emerson Drive, Big and Rich, Lonestar, and most recently the Oakridge Boys, " what a wicked opportunity that was" she says with a smile. Since performing the Premier Stage at the Calgary Stampede in 2009, Karen Lee will return for 5 shows and counting, in 2010.
Heading back into the studio Karen Lee is working on a solid new project that promises to bring vocal depth, mature tender emotion and sass to the magic of the music. Look for the exciting release in 2010.
